« on: January 14, 2010, 09:14:52 PM »

Planning is in progress for the Project Mugello at IndyGP 2010 event.  The plan is to announce all details including new hotels next week.  It’s going to be first come first serve at the host hotels (new set up is closer to the track, less expensive, better hotels and it’s all side by side now).

Tickets will be on sale early next week, look for updates.

The grandstand will be in the same location as last year (inside of Turn 1) and the 3-Day tickets will cost $125.  All Ducati Club Members will have the first opportunity to purchase tickets in this stand.  After that, I will begin to reach out to all Ducati owners and enthusiasts.  For this year, the tickets will include the following benefits:
·         Official Red Bull Indianapolis GP Event Program
·         IMS Centennial Era Cinch Bag
·         Free Motorcycle Parade Lap on the MotoGP Course  **Date and Times still TBD
·         Free Motorcycle Parking on Ducati Island for Ducati bikes  **For other motorcycles, Free Parking is available on the backstretch of the oval course
·         10% off coupon for IMS merchandise at participating retail locations

Also, if anyone is interested in a Race Day ONLY ticket, those will be available for $105.  All the benefits will still be available for those ticket orders.

If Ducati club members do not want to sit in the Project Mugello grandstand, they  can book any available seat for them and the extra benefits WILL BE included with the purchase.  (The ticket price will correspond to the other seating location.)
All prices exclude service fees

I can reserve a block of seats ahead of time for the club members to sit together. Let me know on that.

Here's a video of  what they called "The Red Snake" starting out at Ducati of Indianapolis and ending up at the track.

How long of a ride is this?  As in days/miles covered per day?

What day would you leave to get to Indy ? And what day would you leave to come home?

I'm just trying to figure out if flying would be better due to time off work.

My tennative plan would be to leave Weds. 8/25 arrive Thursday, leave Monday the 30th home Tuesday. It's a 16 hour trip one way. I think you'll find there be other people leaving different days.

I'm planning on riding the Hyper unless I fit one of the bigger gas tanks the low fuel light goes on at 95 miles.

My room is booked. I'll be riding into Indy on Thursday but I'll be arriving from the west. I'm leaving Aug 21 and headed for Iowa to visit some friends and probably do a stop at the Motorcycle Hall of Fame in Ohio on the way. See you there Grin

I'll be signing up for this ,but want to make sure I get this right.
If there is a group ride going out, will it be leaving here on Wednesday and returning on Monday?
I assume the Marriot is where you are booking?
What is the Friday night gatering about, worth going?
Anyone going to the Indy Mile?
